Mud Mates Children’s Craft Aprons are perfect for protecting your child’s clothing during all kinds of messy play fun. Whether your littlies are painting, pasting, crafting, baking or even eating you can trust these art smocks to keep your kids clean.
CRAFT APRONS/ART SMOCKS
Mud Mates Craft Aprons / Art Smocks are great for toddlers and young children, either at home or in early childhood education i.e. kindy, daycare or playcentre. They simply slip on over your kid’s clothing providing full body coverage and nice long sleeves to protect your children’s clothes.
Made from a lightweight yet durable 100% nylon fabric our painting aprons are water-resistant and water-repellent and perfect for keeping kids dry during water play.  They are comfortable and easy to wear without restricting the child’s movements. Like all Mud Mates garments, they are individually handcrafted in New Zealand, machine-washable and quick drying.
Each craft apron features 2 snaps down the back of the apron along with an elasticated neckline to ensure total clothing protection.
Craft Aprons Colours and Sizing
Our art smocks come in four great colours (navy, pink, red and royal blue) and are available in sizes 6-12 months, 1, 2, 3 and 4 years.
If your preferred size and colour combination states ‘available on backorder’ this means we will make to order for you. Simply click ‘add to cart’ and complete your purchase as normal. We will get your order made as soon as possible but please allow approximately 7-10 days. If you require your product urgently please let us know as we’d love to help!

I absolutely love Mud Mates’ Craft Aprons! I first got one for my eldest son to wear while he does his ‘creating’ with paint, glue, sand, mud and even food!
I found it totally amazing – it kept him clean and dry underneath, even when he played with water! It’s the perfect waterproof apron for kids! I have since brought a smaller sized version for his younger brother and now there is a lot less clothes washing happening in my home! I can relax and let my boys be boys and get messy. I no longer have the worry of knowing that there will be dirty clothes to soak and wash after they have finished playing. It’s made my life easier as a Mum and my boys are enjoying being creative and playing a whole lot more, as they too don’t need to be worrying about their clothes either!

My little one has throughly enjoyed wearing your stylish craft apron. The material is durable and easy to clean and keeps my little one very dry whilst playing. The velcro strap at the back allows for a snugger fit (my daughter is quite petit) and the blue colour we choose is gorgeous. Great product- have already recommended many times to other Mums.

Our 1 year old loves to go straight to the painting table at our play centre and it’s handy to have such a great apron which is easy to put on once he is already stuck in.
The Mud Mates craft aprons are very cleverly designed. They have elastic on the front of the neck and around the sleeves to stop paint etc going on to your child’s clothes underneath, they are long (cover their legs as well) and they have two fastening points, a dome on the back of the neck and Velcro across the middle of the back so the apron stays covering their clothes.
This is by far the best craft apron I have found. It’s functional and it looks smart too.
