Transform ordinary toilet paper rolls into adorable bees with this fun toilet paper roll bee craft. It’s a simple way to reuse materials while keeping kids busy and entertained.
What You’ll Need
• Toilet paper rolls
• Yellow paint or yellow paper or thin card
• Black construction paper or black washi tape
• White or coloured card (for the wings)
• Black pipe cleaners
• Googly eyes
• Glue or tape
• Scissors
• Black marker

How to Create Your Toilet Paper Roll Bee Craft
- Prepare the Bee’s Body: If using paint, cover the toilet paper roll with yellow paint and let it dry completely. Alternatively, wrap the roll with yellow paper, securing it with glue or tape.
- Add the Stripes: Cut thin strips of black paper or use black washi tape to create the bee’s stripes. Wrap these around the yellow roll, spacing them evenly.
- Attach the Eyes and Mouth: Glue the googly eyes near the top of the roll. Below the eyes, draw a smiling mouth using the black marker.
- Create and Attach the Wings: Cut out two wing shapes from the white or coloured card. Glue these to the back of the bee’s body, positioning them symmetrically.
- Add the Antennae: Cut a black pipe cleaner in half. Curl each piece slightly at one end to form the antennae. Attach them to the inside top of the toilet paper roll using glue or tape.
- Allow all glued parts to dry thoroughly. Once dry, your bee is ready to buzz around!

Tips for Success
- Safety First: Always supervise children when using scissors and small items like googly eyes.
- Personalise Your Bee: Encourage kids to add their own flair by decorating the wings or adding glitter for a sparkling effect.
- Educational Twist: Use this craft as an opportunity to teach children about the importance of bees in our ecosystem and the role they play in pollination.
