What You’ll Need
- Card or thick paper

- 1/3 cup white PVA glue
- A few drops of food colouring or washable paint
- A mixing bowl and spoon
- Paintbrushes or craft sticks
Instructions
- Prepare your bunny shapes
Draw bunny shapes onto card and cut them out.
Thicker card works best so it can hold the puffy paint without bending. - Make your puffy paint
In a bowl, mix together:
1/3 cup shaving cream
1/3 cup PVA glue
Stir gently until combined.
Divide the mixture into smaller containers, then add a few drops of food colouring to each and mix.
Repeat this step for each colour you’d like to use. - Decorate your puffy paint Easter bunny
Use paintbrushes or craft sticks to apply the puffy paint onto your bunny shapes.
Kids can add dots, patterns, or cover the whole bunny – it’s all about having fun and exploring. - Let them dry
Leave your puffy paint Easter bunny creations to air dry.
As they dry, the paint will stay soft and raised, giving that fun puffy texture.

Why We Love this Puffy Paint Easter Bunny Craft
This is one of those simple setups that keeps kids engaged without a lot of prep. It’s easy to set up, fun to do, and gives a lovely result at the end. The the finished bunnies make a cute Easter decoration or something to pop on the fridge.
Tips for Parents:
- Use it fresh: Puffy paint is best used as soon as you make it. The shaving cream can start to deflate if left too long, which affects the texture.
- Thicker is puffier: Apply the paint thickly with a brush or craft stick for the best puffy effect.
- Let it air dry: Paintings can take several hours to dry – or leave them overnight – and the puffiness will set nicely.
- Separate colours: Mix each colour in a different bowl to avoid muddy colours and keep things bright.
- Use thick paper or cardboard: Regular paper may wrinkle or collapse under the paint’s weight.
- Expect some flattening: The raised texture may soften slightly after a day or two but will still be fun to touch.
- Pop kids in play clothes or protective over-garments to save on washing
